CTD Station 04
- Purpose: Profile stratification and other parameters near the MEF to compare with similar profiles just to the north of the vent field, possibly verifying or nullifying the current predictions.
- Summary: Completed 5 casts during southward flow. Saw multiple plumes, some associated with breaks in the density gradient. The extent and nature of some plumes changed during the transition from slack to peak southward predicted current flow. Enhanced potential temperature anomaly (~0.03 oC) near bottom (geothermal boundary layer).
