CTD Station 07
- Purpose: Further define the location of the source of a buoyant plume that was detected in 1995.
- Summary: Moved slowly along only the first 1.2 segments of proposed search pattern, but completed 9 casts, so the spacing is close! Buoyant plume encountered near the end of the first segment (cast 8), ~200?m NE of the 1995 target, after progressively increasing anomalies near ~2150m. Interesting relationship between lower plume rise height and tidal velocity? Thermal and backscatter contamination was present up high throughout the tow; looks like MEF characteristics, but the predicted flow was to the north during the station...
